March 2011: Scraplet Skeins Trunk Shows scheduled!
Knittique's Scraplet Skeins are getting a great reception in yarn shops, and now we're being invited to bring even more of our goodies to show you, in the form of trunk shows!
What does this mean, exactly? We'll be gathering up all the newest Scraplet Skeins styles and colorways, plus Knittique patterns, and bringing everything with us for in-store events. We will also make up some new colorways especially for each show. You can get up close and personal with all our products, see gorgeous samples made with Scraplet Skeins, and maybe even see a demonstration of how we make our skeins. (And, of course, you can buy anything we have with us, on the spot!)
Currently scheduled trunk shows:
Wednesday, March 23rd, at Loopy Knitters Yarn Bar in Portland, OR; e-mail Sue and ask for the Knittique Trunk Show e-mailing for more information.
April 15-17 at Wildfibers in Mount Vernon, WA; as of 3/13/11, the exact date we will be there has not been set, but we will update that information ASAP. This is during the Tulip Festival in that area, so we will be creating some new colorways inspired by the fields of flowers for this show!
February 2011: Scraplet Skeins delivered to Wild Fibers!
We've just sent a shipment of Scraplet Skeins and Knittique patterns to Wild Fibers, a fabulous yarn shop in Mount Vernon, Washington! For a peek at the skeins we made for them, click here (and "like" us on Facebook while you're there!).
More February news: I've started a collection of Scraplet Skeins with colors inspired by birthstones! I've made one sample capelet in "Amethyst" for February (see it in progress here), and will have "Aquamarine" ready for the first week of March!
Knittique is on Facebook! "Like" us to let us know what you're knitting, and also to easily get news about our latest Scraplet Skeins and designs!
Last time:
Photo/Graphic Design has been launched! Photo/Graphic Design is a company that produces and sells items using my photographs and photo-based artwork. (Go to the About Me page for links to places my work is already being sold.) P/GD is really a sideline; Knittique is still my primary business.
There will be some crossover between the two businesses; for instance, I'm designing greeting cards that combine photos of Knittique's exclusive Scraplet Skeins with photos of the colorways' inspirations, in beautiful photo montages. (Click here to see some!) I'll also be taking more photos of yarns and textiles, and incorporating these into my montages and other designs.
